Library Rules the Librarian Explained to Us

I am Sofia. Our class visited the town library on Wednesday, and Ms Grant the librarian gave a short talk at the front desk. She said the library is a shared space, so every visitor must follow a few simple rules. We should listen carefully because we will use the library for research projects.

Ms Grant said we must speak in a quiet voice in the reading room. We must not run between the shelves. Students have to walk calmly and carry books with two hands when stacks are high.

She showed us how to borrow books with a library card. We must bring the card every time we take a title home. We should check the return date printed on the receipt. Borrowers have to bring books back on time so others can read them.
