Planning Our Move While Rules Keep Changing
I am Emma. Last month my family decided we are going to move to a new flat near the river. Dad said the landlord will send the keys on Friday, and Mom is going to pack the kitchen this weekend. While we plan boxes and furniture, we also learned what we must do before we leave our old building.
The estate agent said we must clean the flat before we return the keys. We have to fill small holes in the walls with putty. Mom wrote that we should take photos of each room on the last day.
Our current landlord emailed a checklist yesterday. Tenants must pay the final bill for water and heating. We must not leave rubbish bags in the corridor on moving day. The agency said we should book the lift for large items between nine and eleven.
