She Bought Some Fruit but Not Much Cheese
I am Priya. I work part-time at a bookshop near the river. On Wednesday after my shift I met my friend Ana at the open market. Ana said she needed some fruit for the week but not much cheese because her doctor advised less fat.
We walked past stalls with bright apples and pears. Ana picked some oranges and asked if the farmer had any mangoes today. He said some mangoes arrived early but not many boxes remained. She chose two and put some bananas in her cloth bag.
At the cheese stall Ana asked if they sold any small portions. The vendor wrapped some goat cheese and said many customers preferred lighter types now. Ana said she would buy some cheese for guests but not much for daily meals.
I looked for some herbs for soup at home.
