A Week at Camp near Lake Bled
In July, our class went to a language camp near Lake Bled in Slovenia. Lake Bled has an island. A church stands on the island. We saw it from the bus before lunch.
Our camp was in a village near the lake. I shared a room with Maya. The room was simple, but it had a view of the water. Every morning, we had English lessons. In the afternoon, we walked beside the lake or played games on the grass.
On Wednesday, we took a small boat to the island because the weather was calm. We climbed the steps to the church. Then we ate sandwiches by the water. My friend Leo drew the island in his notebook.
Bled Castle stands on a cliff above the lake. We did not go inside. We stopped to look at it from the path.
