The Festival Starts On Friday At Six In the Park
I am Nina, one of the organizers of the Riverside Music Festival. The main stage opens on Friday at six in the evening when the mayor speaks at the microphone. On Saturday events continue at two in the afternoon with local bands at the small tent.
Volunteers arrive at eight on Thursday to build fences and carry chairs at the north field. In the morning sun work feels hot at ten when trucks unload speakers at the stage. On setup day we eat pizza at seven at the community hall near the park gate.
At noon on Friday food trucks park at the east path and serve lunch at twelve thirty. On Saturday families come at eleven with blankets for picnics at the grass near the river. In June evenings stay light until nine when the last acoustic set ends at the café stage.
