Why We Like Cooking Together on Sunday Evenings
I am Leo. Every Sunday evening my sister Ana and I cook dinner with our dad in the kitchen at home. We start at six, and we usually finish eating at seven thirty because Dad likes slow, careful meals.
Ana loves chopping vegetables, and she helps Dad because she wants to learn new recipes. I like washing dishes after we eat, but Dad prefers that I stir sauces on the stove while he cuts meat and fish.
Do you cook with your family on Sundays? My friend Ben does not cook often, but he likes tasting our food when we invite him. Last month we made soup for him, and he thanked us because the flavour reminded him of his grandmother's kitchen.
At six fifteen Dad puts pasta in boiling water, and Ana adds salt because the recipe says so.
