Do You Visit Your Grandparents on Holidays?
I am Nina. During school holidays I often visit my grandparents in a small town two hours from our city. I travel with my parents on Friday evening, and we arrive at their house at nine because traffic is heavy on the motorway.
Grandma waits for us at the door, and she hugs me tightly because she misses me between visits. Grandpa sits in his chair in the living room, and he smiles when I bring him the book he asked for last time.
Do you stay with grandparents in summer? I like sleeping in the guest room because the window looks over a quiet garden with apple trees. My cousin Eva visits too on some holidays, and we share stories before sleep at ten at night.
On Saturday morning Grandma cooks pancakes at eight, and she serves them with jam because Grandpa loves sweet breakfasts.
