Diary Entry: My First Week at the New Job
Monday, 14 April
I started at Green Office today at nine in the morning, and my manager Ms Lane showed me the desk near the window on the third floor. I felt nervous before entering the building, but colleagues smiled when I introduced myself in the kitchen at ten.
Tuesday, 15 April
Ms Lane gave me tasks on email folders, and I asked her questions because new software looks different from my old company system. Tom from marketing lent me headphones when the open room felt loud after lunch at one o'clock.
Wednesday, 16 April
Do I like commuting by tram? It takes forty minutes, but I enjoy reading on the way when seats are free in the morning. I do not like crowded platforms at six in the evening, so I sometimes stay later to finish reports before rush hour begins.
