What Had Happened Before the Meeting Started
I am Helen. I manage a small design team, and our Monday planning meetings set the tone for the week. Last Monday I arrived at nine and noticed quiet tension around the table before anyone had spoken.
I asked what had happened before the session had officially started. My developer Ravi said the client had emailed revised requirements at eight that morning. He had forwarded the message, but two teammates had not seen it because they had been in transit.
Before the meeting had begun, our project lead had printed copies of the old brief by mistake. She had discovered the error when Ravi had shown her the new attachment on his phone. She had apologized and had rushed to replace the pages in each folder.
I opened the agenda and suggested we review changes first.
