She Has Worked Here Since March, But She Left Her Old Job in January
I am Omar, the office manager at a small design studio. Our new colleague Priya started in March, and her story shows how present perfect and past simple describe work in different ways.
Priya has worked here since the first Monday of March. She has designed two client logos and has joined every team meeting on time. Before this job she worked at a larger agency for four years. She left that agency in January when the commute grew too long.
Since March Priya has learned our file system quickly. She has asked careful questions and has copied old project notes into shared folders. Last week she finished her first solo brochure. Yesterday the client sent praise by email, and Priya has already printed the message for her desk.
