I Have Lived Here For Ten Years
I am Kate. I have lived in this flat for ten years, and the neighbourhood has become part of my daily identity. When I arrived, the street looked quieter, yet friendly faces have made me feel welcome ever since.
I have worked at the same clinic for eight years. Colleagues have supported me through busy winters and long summer shifts. Patients have remembered my name, and that trust has motivated me during difficult days.
My partner Tomas has studied architecture for six years while working part time. He has spent many evenings at the kitchen table with models and sketches. We have eaten late dinners together for most of that period.
We have known our neighbours Paul and Yuki for nine years. Paul has gardened in the shared courtyard since we moved in, and Yuki has organised street parties every autumn.
