What the Teacher Said to Parents at the Meeting
I am Laura, a parent representative. On Thursday evening our school held a parents' meeting, and Ms Patel, the Year Eight teacher, explained the term plan. I summarised what she said for families who could not attend.
Ms Patel said that the class was making good progress. She told parents that students had improved their reading scores since January, and she said that homework completion had risen. She told us that she was pleased with the group's attitude.
She said that a science trip was planned for May. She told parents that the visit would include a museum workshop, and she said that permission forms would be sent the following week. She told the office that they should confirm coach bookings early.
Ms Patel told us that exam week would start on the twelfth of June.
