Diary Entry: Rumours at School
Wednesday, 18 October. Navigating high school corridors often feels like walking through a whirlwind of whispered rumours, dramatic speculation, and exaggerated news. Today was particularly hectic because several surprising stories spread rapidly across the school cafeteria before morning registration even ended. Sitting with my diary tonight, I want to record how chaotic information travels when people retell stories without verifying the facts.
During morning break, my classmate Liam told me that our chemistry teacher, Mr. Vance, was resigning to work at a university research laboratory in Germany. He claimed that Mr. Vance had already packed his demonstration equipment and said his goodbyes to the principal. A few minutes later, Chloe told our lunch group that the school had cancelled the annual spring trip to Paris due to budget cuts. Everyone gasped in dismay at these sudden developments.
