May I Ask a Few Favours at Work

I am Tomas. I started a new job three months ago, and polite language still matters when I speak with colleagues. Today I might need help with several tasks, so I could prepare my requests carefully.

In the morning I might visit HR about my badge. The receptionist might be busy, so I could wait near the desk. When she looks up, I might say, "Excuse me, may I ask about my access card?"

She might reply that the system could take an hour to update. I might thank her and might ask, "Could you let me know when it is ready?" She might nod and say I may collect it after lunch.

At my desk I might need files from the archive room. My teammate Rina might know the password. I could message her:
