Diary Entry Before the Job Interview

Monday evening

Tomorrow might change everything. I could finally work for a company I have admired for years, yet nerves might keep me awake tonight.

I might wear the grey suit because it could look professional without feeling stiff. My shoes might need polishing, and I may iron the shirt again before I leave.

The train might be crowded at eight, so I could leave home earlier. If delays might happen, I may take a taxi for the last stretch. Being late might ruin a first impression.

In the waiting room I might review notes quietly. Other candidates could arrive with confident smiles, yet I might breathe slowly and might remember my preparation.

The manager might ask about teamwork. I could describe a project where colleagues might disagree yet could finish on time. Examples might matter more than perfect grammar.
