Diary Notes During a Busy Conference Week
Tuesday
The keynote was delivered by a researcher who might change our field. She said funding had been cut, yet innovation could continue if teams might collaborate.
Wednesday
My badge was scanned at every session. Lunch was served in a hall that was decorated with banners printed by local students. I might miss a workshop if I might stay too long at the expo.
Thursday
A colleague told me the hotel might lose our reservation. I reported the problem to reception, and a room was assigned within an hour. If errors might happen, polite requests may solve them faster.
Friday
Panelists were asked whether results might be published soon. They answered that papers were being reviewed and that data might be shared next spring. I might submit questions by email if time might allow.
