An Email About the Community Garden
Subject: Proposal for shared compost bins
Dear neighbours,
I hope this message finds you well. Our community garden has grown steadily this year; therefore we produce more green waste than last season. However, the current compost corner is small, and as a result many members stack bags beside the path.
Last weekend I spoke with three regular volunteers. They support larger bins; moreover, they offered to help build a simple frame from reclaimed wood. In contrast, a few residents worry about smell during hot weeks. Although odour can appear if layers are wrong, proper mixing usually prevents problems.
I suggest a trial period of eight weeks. We could place two bins near the back fence; furthermore, we could post a short guide on brown and green layers. On the other hand, if participation drops, we might remove one bin without major cost.
