Diary Entry About Moving House
Monday
We signed the lease today. The flat is brighter than our old place; therefore I feel optimistic. However, the stairs are steep, and as a result we may hire help for heavy boxes.
Tuesday
Packing started slowly. I labelled kitchen boxes first; moreover, I colour-coded books by room. In contrast, my partner packed clothes without lists. Although his method looked chaotic, he finished faster than I expected.
Wednesday
The letting agency requested meter readings. I photographed numbers; nevertheless, I forgot the gas meter until evening. Consequently, I walked back in rain. On the other hand, the landlord replied quickly and confirmed receipt.
Thursday
Friends borrowed our sofa for two days. Their van was small; therefore we disassembled legs and frames. Furthermore, they brought pizza after the trip. Although I was exhausted, the meal felt like a small celebration.
