I Wonder Where She Put the Keys
This morning I cannot leave the flat because I wonder where my roommate put the keys. I checked the bowl near the door, but I do not remember whether she mentioned a different spot last night.
I wonder if she left them in her coat pocket. The coat hangs on the chair, so I ask myself whether I should search every pocket carefully. I do not know where she went after breakfast.
I text her: I wonder where you put the flat keys. She replies that she cannot remember whether she locked the door when she rushed out. She asks if I checked the kitchen counter.
I look again and wonder whether the keys slid behind the fruit bowl. I still do not see them, so I wonder if she took them to work by mistake.
