Interview Questions About Language Learning
Host: Today we speak with Marco, who moved abroad to study. Marco, reporters often ask whether motivation alone is enough to become fluent.
Marco: People ask me what methods worked best, and I admit I am not sure whether one approach suits everyone. I wanted to know whether daily listening mattered more than grammar drills, so I tested both.
Host: Did teachers ask whether you preferred classroom or online lessons?
Marco: Yes, and I could not always answer what schedule fit my job. I asked whether evening classes were available, and the school wanted to know if I had taken a placement test.
Host: When you arrived, did neighbours ask where you came from?
Marco: Often, but they also asked whether I planned to stay long term. I wondered whether honest answers would help friendships grow, so I shared simple stories.
