Council Report on Roads That Have Been Repaired

The Riverside Borough Council published its quarterly infrastructure report last Friday. According to the document, seventeen major roads have been resurfaced since January, and three bridges have been inspected by independent engineers who were contracted by the transport department. Residents had complained for years, and their concerns have finally been addressed by coordinated work across the district.

Mill Lane was closed in March while potholes were filled by a crew from a regional contractor. Drainage channels have been cleared by the same team, and new markings have been painted by machines that were borrowed from a neighbouring council. Traffic lights at the junction with Park Avenue have been replaced because old units were damaged by storms in December.

The report states that speed bumps on School Street have been installed after parents petitioned for safer crossings.
