The Room at the End of the Hall
Sam arrives at the youth centre after school. He wants to join a music workshop, but the hall is quiet and he cannot see a sign. A woman at the desk looks up from her book.
- Is there a music room here? Sam asks.
- Yes. There is a room at the end of the hall. Are you here for the guitar group?
- I think so. Can I play if I am new?
- Of course. You can try the guitar, or you can listen first.
Sam walks down the hall. There are two doors. He hears a soft beat behind one of them, but he is not sure.
- Is this the music room? he asks a boy near the door.
- Yes. There are a few people inside. You can come in.
