Choosing Where to Eat Out on Friday Night

Deciding where to dine with companions after an exhausting workweek can turn into an entertaining negotiation. Yesterday evening, two flatmates, Liam and Sophie, sat in their kitchen debating culinary options for their regular Friday celebration. Both friends were eager to eat out rather than cooking dinner and washing greasy dishes at home.

"I really feel like dining out tonight, but we need to figure out what kind of cuisine everyone prefers," Liam said while scrolling through food review apps on his tablet. "The new Thai bistro down the road has fantastic coconut curries, but it fills up remarkably quickly on weekends. Should I ring them up to see if they have a free table?"

Sophie checked the bistro's digital booking page and noticed that reservations were completely booked until nine o'clock. "Waiting two hours will make us too hungry," she pointed out with a smile.
