A Letter About the Spring Festival

Dear Uncle Robert, I am writing to share exciting memories from our annual municipal Spring Arts Festival, which took place along the riverbank last weekend. Organizers had prepared an ambitious programme featuring live folk music, artisan food stalls, and outdoor theatrical performances for all ages. The entire historic quarter was decorated with colourful floral banners and paper lanterns, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere throughout the historic town centre.

On Saturday morning, persistent dark rain clouds threatened to ruin the outdoor opening ceremony and damp market stalls. Nevertheless, hundreds of enthusiastic townspeople gathered along the pedestrian promenade holding large umbrellas and singing along with the brass band. Fortunately, the gloomy drizzle stopped by midday, and warm golden sunshine bathed the riverbanks for the remainder of the afternoon.

Furthermore, our community youth orchestra delivered an extraordinary open-air symphonic concert on the floating stage by the old stone bridge.
