Visit London: A Trip to the Capital
Priya had one afternoon in London, and she wanted one photo. Her uncle had asked for Big Ben. She and her cousin Leo came up from the Tube beside the river. The river was the Thames, wide and grey. Leo carried an umbrella. The sky already looked like rain.
A huge wheel turned slowly on the far bank. That was the London Eye. Leo wanted to ride it. A full turn takes about half an hour, and the afternoon was already short. Priya shook her head. The photo came first. They could see the wheel from the pavement. They did not have to ride it today.
They walked along the river. A long stone building stood at the water. That was the Houses of Parliament, where Parliament meets. Next to it was the clock tower.
