A Weekend in the Countryside
My family visits the countryside every summer for a short trip. Last weekend we stayed at a small farm. We arrive on Saturday morning and come back on Sunday evening. It is not a long trip, but it is always a very good one.
We stay at a farmhouse about two hours from the city. There is a big kitchen downstairs where the farmer''s wife makes breakfast for everyone. She can cook very well. She makes fresh eggs and warm bread. There are fields all around the house. There are cows in one field and sheep in another. My brother can name every animal.
On Saturday morning we go for a long walk. My father can read a map well and he leads the way. There is a forest path that goes up a small hill.
