A Day at the Youth Community Centre

On Saturdays I go to the Hillside Youth Community Centre. It is a place for young people from eight to sixteen years old. There are many different activities and there is always something new to try.

I arrive at ten in the morning. The centre opens at nine, but I can''t get there earlier because I have piano practice first. At the entrance there is a notice board with the week''s programme. My friend Diana is already there. She can draw very well and she always comes for the art session.

In the arts and crafts room there are tables covered in materials. A group of children can paint on large canvases today. Diana can make a face look real in twenty minutes. I can draw simple shapes, but I can''t draw faces.
