The Same Name Twice
Priya wants to know which calls she can skip. Some of the people on her missed-visit list already came to the clinic, and she wants that sorted before she locks the door. The screen should know. It does not. The same patient sits on two rows, another row has no date, and a third is only a phone number. She asks her cousin Ade for a chart tonight. He will not draw one yet.
He says the order is the work. First the rows are gathered. Then they are cleaned: the same person twice, the blanks, the date that cannot belong to a visit. Only after that does anyone look for a pattern. A pattern in a dirty list can be a pattern of the dirt. Priya hates the pace. She came for an answer, not for an hour of deleting copies.
