Asking for Directions

Ana needs the train station. Her bag is heavy, and the streets in this city do not look like the map in her head. She can see shops, a bank, and a lot of cars. She cannot see the station. She does not want to miss her train. She stops a man near the bank. She says excuse me. She says she is looking for the train station.

The man is kind. He points down the street. He says go straight, then turn left at the big church. The station is next to the church. Ana says thank you. She repeats the words in her head: straight, left, big church. She walks. The street is long. She passes a small church and a school. The small church is not big. She does not turn. She keeps the words.
