Numbers are part of daily life. We count objects, tell time, and read prices and dates with them.

I can count from one to ten. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Then I can count to twenty. Twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, one hundred.

I use numbers at school. In math class, I do calculations. I add numbers and subtract numbers. Sometimes I multiply or divide numbers. Numbers help me solve problems.

Time is also important. We have clocks to tell time. A clock has numbers from one to twelve. The short hand shows the hour. The long hand shows the minutes.

I wake up at seven in the morning. I eat breakfast at eight. I go to school at nine. School starts at nine and finishes at three. I come home at four.
