El mes pasado visité con mi madre y mi abuelo la antigua estación de Chamberí, en Madrid. Nuestra visita y nuestros recuerdos son imaginarios, pero la historia de la estación es real.

Chamberí formó parte de la primera línea del Metro de Madrid, inaugurada en 1919. El arquitecto Antonio Palacios diseñó la estación. En las paredes utilizó azulejos blancos y anuncios de cerámica.

En 1966, la estación cerró. La compañía quería usar trenes más largos, pero el andén no podía alargarse. La Línea 1 continuó pasando por allí sin parar.

En 2008, el antiguo andén abrió al público como museo. El museo muestra taquillas, muebles y anuncios de cerámica. Durante nuestra visita imaginaria, un tren pasó al otro lado de la barrera.

Mi abuelo observó una antigua taquilla. Dijo que parecía una pequeña ventana. Mi madre miró los anuncios y eligió uno con colores azules. Yo busqué el nombre Chamberí entre los azulejos.

Hace una semana, mi madre imprimió una foto de los tres en la entrada. Ayer mi abuelo escribió detrás: "Tres generaciones en una estación de 1919". Luego guardamos la foto en un álbum familiar.

La estación cuenta una historia de la ciudad, y nuestra foto inventa una historia familiar dentro de ella. Las fechas no son iguales, pero comparten el mismo lugar.
