This article contains the complete text of Maik Yohansen’s experimental novel «Подорож ученого доктора Леонардо і його майбутньої коханки прекрасної Альцести у Слобожанську Швайцарію», as first printed in the Kharkiv almanac «Літературний ярмарок» in 1928: a parody of the travel novel in which the learned doctor Leonardo and the beautiful Alcesta sail down the Donets into the wooded hills near Zmiiv, while the narrator invents characters, dismisses them and argues with his reader.
