I am Nina . Last Thursday evening Mom was cooking dinner in our kitchen . Dad was reading the newspaper at the table . I was doing homework in my room upstairs . Mom was chopping vegetables when the phone rang . She wiped her hands and answered it quickly . The caller was Aunt Rosa , and she sounded worried .
