She does ask , and she does not buy produce when answers sound unclear . Does she teach us to read labels ? She does teach us , and I do read labels now before I choose snacks . Food rules change slowly , yet conversation stays open in our family . We do not judge friends who eat differently , and we do explain our habits when people ask with honest curiosity rather than jokes .
