The laptop is on her desk at home , and the USB stick is in the same bag . Lena is at the library . The lights will not stay on all evening , so she needs the file now , not later . She sits at a free computer . It is not her machine , but it has the internet . She opens Google Drive and signs in . Drive asks for her password . Then it sends a short code to her phone . She scrolls past pictures of a beach and a bus station . The essay is not among them . For a second she thinks she can send Omar the whole folder . Then she stops . He does not need her holiday . He needs the essay . She goes back to Drive and searches for the title . The file sits in a folder called History . She opens it and reads the first lines . Yes . This is the right one . Omar is already waiting for a message . The essay is long , so she does not try to attach it to an email . She copies a link and sends him that instead . Soon his name appears at the top of the page . He changes one clumsy sentence while she watches . In the next paragraph she fixes a name at the same time . They are not in the same room , but they can both change the essay . A librarian walks past and turns off a far row of lights . Lena reads the ending once more . When she is sure , she sends the same link to her teacher and signs out . The computer returns to a blank screen . Her laptop is still on the desk at home . The essay is not stuck there anymore .
