У новій квартирі є велика кімната. Там стоїть м’який диван. Мурчик стрибає на диван і починає гратися. У нього є маленька іграшка — зелений м’яч. Кошеня бігає за м’ячем по всій кімнаті. Це дуже весело для маленького котика. Він любить бігати та стрибати. Його лапки швидко рухаються по підлозі.
На кухні Мурчик бачить свою миску. Його нова господиня, дівчинка Оля, дає йому молоко. Мурчик любить молоко. Він п’є дуже швидко. Тепер котик не голодний. Він задоволений і починає муркотіти. Оля гладить котика по спині. Мурчик відчуває тепло. Він знає, що тут його люблять.
Потім Оля показує Мурчику його ліжко. Це маленький кошик біля вікна. Сонце світить у вікно, і там дуже тепло. Мурчик лягає у кошик. Він закриває очі та спить. Йому сниться велика риба та нові ігри. Сон дуже солодкий. Маленьке кошеня відпочиває після довгого дня.
Мурчик прокидається ввечері. Він бачить Олю. Вона читає книгу на дивані. Мурчик іде до неї повільно. Він хоче уваги. Кошеня муркає дуже голосно. Оля бере його на руки. Вони разом дивляться у вікно на вечірнє місто. У місті багато вогнів. Машини їдуть по вулицях.
У місті багато вогнів — червоні, жовті, сині. Мурчик дивиться на машини. Вони їдуть швидко і шумно. Але вдома тихо і затишно. Кошеня розуміє, що це його дім. Тут є любов, турбота та смачна їжа. Мурчик більше не боїться. Він щасливий у новій квартирі.
Завтра буде новий день. Мурчик буде знову гратися з м’ячем. Він хоче вивчити всі кути в квартирі. Можливо, він знайде нову іграшку під великою шафою. Кожен день у новому домі — це цікава пригода для маленького котика. Він хоче бачити все навколо.
Оля дуже любить Мурчика. Вона каже йому добрі слова кожного ранку. Мурчик розуміє, що Оля — його найкращий друг. Маленьке кошеня засинає на колінах у дівчинки. Вечір проходить тихо та спокійно. Це початок щасливого життя для Мурчика та його нової родини.
Кожен вечір Оля грається з Мурчиком перед сном. Вони використовують лазерну указку. Маленька червона крапка бігає по стінах. Мурчик намагається її зловити. Це дуже смішно. Потім вони разом йдуть відпочивати. Життя у квартирі дуже цікаве.
Мурчик тепер знає, де стоїть його їжа і де його іграшки. Він почувається господарем у кімнаті. Це його територія. Він любить дивитися у вікно на пташок. Пташки літають високо в небі. Мурчик мріє теж літати, але він просто котик.
