У дівчинки Софії є улюблена іграшка. Це плюшевий ведмедик. Його звати Топтунець. Він коричневий і дуже м'який. Топтунець має чорні очі і круглий ніс. Софія завжди спить з ним. Вона дуже любить свого ведмедика.

Сьогодні вранці Софія прокинулася. Вона подивилася на ліжко. Топтунця там не було. Софія злякалася. Вона почала шукати свою іграшку. Вона подивилася під ліжком. Там було тільки взуття. Ведмедика там не було.

Софія пішла на кухню. Мама готувала сніданок. "Мамо, ти бачила Топтунця?" — запитала Софія. Мама відповіла: "Ні, доню, не бачила. Може, він у вітальні?". Софія побігла у вітальню.

У вітальні сидів тато. Він читав газету. Софія запитала: "Тату, мій ведмедик тут?". Тато подивився навколо. Він заглянув під диван. Там лежав тільки маленький м'ячик. "Вибач, Софіє, його тут немає", — сказав тато.

Софія почала плакати. Вона дуже сумувала за Топтунцем. Де ж він може бути? Вона згадала вчорашній день. Вчора вона гуляла в саду. Може, ведмедик там? Софія вибігла на вулицю.

У саду світило сонце. Трава була зелена і мокра. Софія підійшла до великого дерева. Під деревом стояла лавка. На лавці щось лежало. Це був коричневий клубочок.

Софія підбігла ближче. Так! Це був Топтунець! Він лежав на лавці. Він був трохи мокрий від роси. Софія міцно обійняла свого ведмедика. Вона знову була щаслива. Вона більше ніколи не буде його забувати.

Вона принесла Топтунця додому. Мама витерла його рушником. Тепер ведмедик був сухий і чистий. Софія поклала його на ліжко. Топтунець чекав вечора, щоб знову спати з Софією. Це був щасливий кінець.
