Я ніколи не виступав на сцені перед багатьма людьми. Я боявся, що забуду свої слова або впаду. Кожного вечора я вчив свій текст. Моя мама допомагала мені. Вона слухала, як я говорю, і давала поради.
— Говори голосніше і не поспішай, — казала вона. — Ти все зможеш!
Настав день вистави. Шкільний зал був повний батьків та вчителів. Я стояв за завісою і мої руки трохи тремтіли. Мій друг Денис, який грав короля, підійшов до мене.
— Не бійся, ми — команда! — сказав він.
Завіса відкрилася. Світло ламп було дуже яскравим. Я вийшов на середину сцени. Спочатку я не міг сказати ні слова. Але потім я побачив у першому ряду усмішку моєї вчительки. Я глибоко вдихнув і почав говорити.
Слова самі приходили в голову. Я рухався по сцені, розмовляв з іншими акторами. Я навіть забув, що на мене дивляться сотні очей. Мені стало дуже приємно відчувати себе частиною історії.
Коли вистава закінчилася, всі почали голосно аплодувати. Ми вийшли на сцену і вклонилися. Батьки дарували нам квіти. Я побачив маму, вона витирала сльози радості.
— Ти був чудовим! — сказав тато після свята.
Тепер я більше не боюсь виступати. Я зрозумів, що страх можна перемогти, якщо добре готуватися і вірити у себе. Я вже чекаю на наступну виставу, бо театр — це справжня магія, де ти можеш стати ким завгодно.
