Cabo Pulmo está en Baja California Sur, en México. Está junto al Golfo de California. Es un área natural protegida desde 1995. Tiene la categoría de parque nacional desde 2000.

El parque tiene un arrecife de coral. La Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas dice que es el único sistema de arrecife coralino del Golfo de California.

En este arrecife hay muchos animales. La comisión informa de observaciones de 226 especies de peces de arrecife.

En la lista del parque aparecen sardinas, peces ángel y atunes. También aparecen la morena cebra y dos especies de pez loro.

Las tortugas marinas no son peces, pero usan el mismo espacio. Cinco especies de tortugas marinas están presentes en el parque. Algunas usan el arrecife para buscar comida, crecer o encontrar refugio.

Antes de entrar al agua, leo una regla del parque: para las actividades acuáticas, hay que usar protector solar biodegradable.
