Las Fallas

Las Fallas son una fiesta muy famosa en Valencia. Es una celebración que ocurre cada año en marzo. Durante cinco días, la ciudad se llena de luz, música y tradición.

Los Monumentos

Los artistas construyen monumentos enormes de madera y papel. Estas esculturas se llaman fallas. Algunas fallas son muy altas, de diez o quince metros. Representan personas famosas, personajes de historias o escenas divertidas. Los artistas trabajan todo el año para crear estas obras de arte.

La Mascletà

Cada día a las dos de la tarde, hay un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales. La gente llama a este evento la mascletà. El sonido es muy fuerte y vibrante. Miles de personas se reúnen en la plaza del ayuntamiento para escuchar y sentir los explosivos ruidos.

Las Flores

Las mujeres y hombres llevan vestidos tradicionales valencianos. Ofrecen flores a la Virgen María. Crean una pared enorme de flores en la plaza de la catedral. El color y el aroma son maravillosos. Es un acto muy bonito y emocional.

La Quema

La noche del diecinueve de marzo es la cremà, la quema de las fallas. A medianoche, todos los monumentos arden en fuego. La gente llora y canta. Es el final triste pero mágico de la fiesta. Las llamas iluminan toda la ciudad.

Una Fiesta Única

Las Fallas de Valencia son patrimonio cultural de la humanidad. Millones de turistas visitan la ciudad cada marzo. Si quieres ver una auténtica tradición española, Valencia en marzo es el lugar perfecto.
