Pablo Picasso es el pintor español más famoso del mundo. Nació en Málaga en mil ochocientos ochenta y uno. Murió en Francia en mil novecientos setenta y tres. Su arte cambió la historia de la pintura.
Los Años de Aprendizaje
Picasso pintaba desde niño. Su padre era pintor y maestro de arte. A los catorce años, Picasso pintaba como un adulto. Estudió en Barcelona y Madrid. Aprendió técnicas clásicas perfectamente.
El Periodo Azul
Entre mil ochocientos uno y mil novecientos cuatro, Picasso pintó de azul. Usaba colores fríos y tristes. Sus cuadros mostraban pobres y tristeza. Es el llamado periodo azul. Era un joven triste por la muerte de un amigo.
El Periodo Rosa
Después vino el periodo rosa. Usaba colores cálidos y alegres. Pintaba circo y arlequines. Es una época más optimista. Los cuadros son más suaves y delicados.
El Cubismo
Picasso inventó el cubismo con Georges Braque. Rompieron las formas en geometría. Pintaban caras y cuerpos desde muchos ángulos. Fue una revolución en el arte. Cambió cómo vemos la pintura para siempre.
El Guernica
En mil novecientos treinta y siete, pintó el Guernica. Es su obra más famosa. Representa el bombardeo de una ciudad vasca. Es un cuadro enorme en blanco y negro. Es un símbolo contra la guerra.
Un Genio Universal
Picasso pintó más de veinte mil obras en su vida. Fue escultor, ceramista y dibujante. Vivió en París la mayor parte de su vida. Hoy sus cuadros cuestan millones de euros. Es un genio que todos conocen.
