El castellano es el idioma oficial de España. También se llama español. Es uno de los idiomas más importantes del mundo. Cientos de millones de personas hablan castellano.

El castellano nace en España hace muchos siglos. Se desarrolla en la región de Castilla. De allí viene su nombre. Los reyes de Castilla expanden este idioma por todo el país.

Este idioma es muy romántico. Tiene sonidos bonitos y claros. La gente dice que el castellano es el idioma del amor. También es el idioma de Cervantes y de muchos escritores famosos.

El castellano usa veintisiete letras. Tiene letras especiales como la eñe. La eñe es una n con una tilde encima. Es característica única del español. También usa tildes en las vocales.

Las palabras castellanas son de origen latino. El latín es el idioma de los romanos antiguos. Los romanos conquistan España hace dos mil años. Dejan su idioma en la península.

Después España conquista América. Los españoles llevan su idioma al Nuevo Mundo. Hoy México Colombia y Argentina hablan castellano. También Perú Chile y muchos países más.

El castellano tiene variaciones regionales. En España hay acentos diferentes. El acento andaluz es muy particular. El acento madrileño es considerado neutro. Cada región tiene su propia forma de hablar.

Los estudiantes de todo el mundo aprenden castellano. Es el segundo idioma más estudiado después del inglés. Las escuelas de idiomas tienen muchos alumnos. La gente quiere hablar con nativos de España y América.

La Real Academia Española regula el idioma. Esta institución está en Madrid. Publica el diccionario oficial. Decide cómo escribir las palabras nuevas.

El castellano es patrimonio cultural mundial. Une a millones de personas en diferentes continentes. Es puente de comunicación entre culturas. El idioma español sigue creciendo cada día.
