Тарас Шевченко найвідоміша людина в історії України. Він був поетом, художником і патріотом. Його називають Кобзарем. Він народився у бідній родині, але став символом свободи.

Шевченко писав вірші українською мовою. У той час це було заборонено. Його слова давали людям надію. Найвідоміша книга поета називається "Кобзар". Її знає кожен українець.

Тарас Григорович також дуже гарно малював. Він створював портрети та пейзажі. За свої ідеї він багато років провів у засланні. Там він не міг писати і малювати, але не здався.
