An independent MovaReader course. It is not a driving school and not official DGT material: the questions follow the exam format but are not taken from the official DGT bank, and we do not guarantee a pass. The rules were checked against the BOE as of October 2026; laws change, so check the current requirements on dgt.es before your exam.

Secure payment with Stripe. You need an account to buy: we will ask you to sign in first.

What you will learn

The whole DGT B-licence syllabus in 17 modules and 74 lessons: signs, road markings, police signals and traffic lights, priority, manoeuvres, speed and distances, lights and weather, safety, alcohol, documents, fines and points. The rules are checked against the BOE and already include the changes in force since 1 October 2026 and the new 2025 sign catalogue. More than 1,150 questions in the DGT exam format and a simulator that works like the real test: 30 questions, 30 minutes, at most 3 mistakes, with the answer options shuffled every time. Tap any word or sentence to translate it into English.

  • Understand all Spanish traffic rules as of October 2026
  • Know almost 200 signs from the official 2025 catalogue, illustrated, with a full reference lesson
  • Practise with more than 1,150 DGT-style questions, each with an explanation
  • Take the exam simulator: 30 questions, 30 minutes, up to 3 mistakes, with a review of every mistake
  • Read junction, roundabout, overtaking and lane diagrams and police officer signals
  • Know the exact numbers: speeds, distances, alcohol, points and fines
  • Learn more than 400 terms of driving Spanish and the phrases for the police, the garage, the ITV and car rental

Who this course is for

For newcomers to Spain preparing the DGT theory exam, exchanging a foreign licence, or simply wanting to drive with confidence and understand the rules in Spanish. Two lessons are free, and buying gives lifetime access.

How the DGT theory test works

The B-licence theory test is taken on a computer at a DGT exam centre. The course simulator follows the same format and shuffles the answer options every time.

  • 30 questions, each with 3 options and only one correct answer
  • 30 minutes, one minute per question
  • At most 3 mistakes, otherwise the result is no apto
  • A passed theory test counts for 2 years, and one exam fee (tasa 2.1, 94.05 EUR in 2026) gives 2 attempts
  • Test languages: Spanish, the co-official language of your region, English, French or German

Why learn the theory in Spanish

Road signs, police officers, the driving examiner and the people at the garage all speak Spanish. The course teaches the words you will meet in the test and on the street, with a one-tap translation of any word or sentence.

  • More than 400 terms of driving Spanish with translations and notes
  • Word statuses are shared with the rest of MovaReader, so course vocabulary flows into your trainers
  • Phrases for the police, the garage, the ITV, the petrol station and car rental

How it differs from a driving school

This is an independent theory course, not a driving school: there are no driving lessons, and you or your driving school book the DGT test. In return you study at your own pace, with translations and no monthly fee.

  • The full DGT B-licence syllabus in 17 modules and 74 lessons
  • Almost 200 signs from the 2025 catalogue, plus junction, roundabout, lane and overtaking diagrams
  • An explanation for every answer and a review of your mistakes after each simulated test

If you hold a foreign licence

A licence from an EU or EEA country stays valid in Spain. A licence from any other country is valid for at most six months after you become a resident; after that you exchange it if Spain has an agreement with that country, or you take the theory and practical tests. A course lesson explains both routes.

Questions and answers

Can I take the DGT theory test in English?

Yes, the B-licence theory test is offered in English, as well as in Spanish, the co-official regional languages, French and German. Preparing in Spanish still pays off: the signs, the police and the driving examiner use Spanish, and this course translates every word for you.

How many questions are in the DGT test and how many mistakes are allowed?

30 questions in 30 minutes, with at most 3 mistakes. The course simulator works the same way and shuffles the answer options on every attempt.

Is this course enough to pass the theory test?

It covers the whole DGT B-licence syllabus as of October 2026 and has more than 1,150 exam-style questions. They are not taken from the official DGT bank, so we cannot guarantee a pass, but if you pass the simulator consistently you are well prepared.

Which rule changes does the course include?

The rules were checked against the BOE as of October 2026, including the 2025 sign catalogue (RD 465/2025) and the changes in force since 1 October 2026 (RD 518/2026), such as overtaking cyclists and the rules for e-scooters.

What level of Spanish do I need?

The lessons are written in plain B1 Spanish. If your level is lower, tap any unknown word or sentence for an instant translation and mark words as Learning to review them in the trainers.

What does "forever" mean?

You pay once and get access with no expiry date: all lessons, practice, the exam and future lessons of this course. No monthly payments.

How does translation work?

Tap any word to see its translation and forms, or the sentence marker to translate the whole sentence. Translations follow the interface language. Course owners have no translation limits.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Courses are independent of the subscription: a subscription does not unlock courses, and buying a course does not change your plan.

Can I try before buying?

Yes. The trial lesson is open to everyone, even without an account, with every word translatable.
