Relocating to a new residential home disrupts established daily routines and requires weeks of patient unpacking , redecorating , and domestic adjustment . Furthermore , our pet golden retriever , Barnaby , has adjusted comfortably to the enclosed rear lawn after living in a third - floor flat for three years . Unpacking a new home requires time , endurance , and shared good humor . Each opened box brings familiar comforts back into our everyday lives .
