Review-фаза A1: першоособова рефлексія про шлях в англійській. Інтегрує всі конструкції з A1 Foundations: артиклі, займенники, there is/are, can, imperatives, прийменники.
At the beginning, I can only say a few words. My vocabulary is very small. But my teacher says, Do not worry. You can learn step by step. There are many steps, but each one is possible.
The first topic in our book is about articles. We learn a, an, and the. At first it is hard. In my language, there are no articles. But after a week, I can use them in simple sentences. I can say, There is a book on the desk. I can say, The cat is on the chair. It feels good.
Next, we study subject pronouns. I, you, he, she, it, we, they. My teacher puts them on the board. She can say each pronoun clearly. We can repeat after her. Then we study possessive adjectives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. There is a helpful chart in my notebook.
After pronouns, we study there is and there are. This is easier. There is a table. There are chairs. There are windows on the left wall. I can see these patterns everywhere. There is one in almost every sentence I read.
Then we learn can and cannot. My favourite lesson. I can swim, but I cannot play the piano. My friend can draw, but she cannot speak Spanish. There are many things each person can do. It is interesting to talk about abilities.
Imperatives are next. Open your book. Write your name. Do not be late. These are the sentences my teacher says every day. Now I can use them too. I can give simple instructions in English.
Prepositions of place come after that. In, on, at. My pencil is in my bag. My book is on my desk. I am at school. There is a poster with pictures and prepositions in our classroom. I can look at it when I forget.
Now I can put all these things together. There is a cat on the mat. Its fur is soft. It can sleep for many hours. My grandmother's cat is on her sofa. It is a warm, comfortable spot.
I can write a short letter to a friend. I can describe my room, my family, my school. There is so much I can say now. At the beginning of the year, I can only say hello. Now I can say much more.
My teacher says, Your English is improving every week. I am proud of my progress. There is still a long way to go, but I can see the direction. I can feel the confidence growing. There is a new door open in my life. Its name is English.
