Este año, mi escuela organizó una obra de teatro basada en un cuento popular. Los profesores dijeron que todos los estudiantes podían participar, ya fuera actuando, haciendo el escenario o ayudando con los disfraces.

Yo decidí audicionar para un papel pequeño porque me gusta actuar pero me da un poco de vergüenza hablar en público. Ensayé mi escena muchas veces frente al espejo de mi habitación, practicando mi voz y mis gestos.

Cuando llegó el día de las audiciones, estaba muy nervioso. Mi corazón latía rápido y sentía las manos sudadas. Pero recordé los consejos de mi profesora: respirar profundo y disfrutar el momento.

Me dieron el papel del narrador, que cuenta la historia entre escenas. Aunque no aparecía mucho en el escenario, era importante porque ayudaba al público a entender la historia. Me sentí orgulloso de tener esta responsabilidad.

Durante dos meses, ensayamos tres veces por semana después de clases. Aprendí a memorizar muchas líneas de texto y a proyectar mi voz para que todos pudieran escucharme. También conocí a estudiantes de otros cursos con quienes nunca había hablado antes.

Mi madre me ayudó a hacer mi disfraz. Fuimos a comprar tela y accesorios a una tienda local. Ella cosió todo a mano mientras yo leía en voz alta mi parte del guion. Trabajar juntos en el disfraz fue una experiencia divertida.

La noche de la presentación, el auditorio estaba lleno de padres y familiares. Cuando salí al escenario, las luces me cegaron un poco pero pude ver las caras sonrientes del público. Mi voz sonó clara y firme, mejor que en los ensayos.

Después de la función, muchas personas me felicitaron por mi trabajo. Mi abuela dijo que había llorado de emoción al verme en el escenario. Esa experiencia me enseñó que puedo superar mi timidez y disfrutar expresándome ante otros.
