A class visits Zaragoza's Fire Museum in a former convent and sees historic vehicles, pumps, helmets, hoses and other firefighting objects.
Una guía nos contó que el museo ocupa el antiguo claustro y otras salas del convento. El Parque de Bomberos número 2 está junto al museo, en el espacio donde estaba la iglesia.
La colección creció a lo largo de los años con compras, donaciones y objetos guardados por el Cuerpo de Bomberos de Zaragoza. Así, cada pieza cuenta una parte de su historia.
En el patio vimos varios vehículos antiguos, bombas manuales y una bomba de vapor. Todos estaban en el patio del antiguo convento, entre arcos de ladrillo.
Después entramos en una sala con uniformes, cascos, máscaras y filtros. Estos objetos formaban parte del equipo personal de los bomberos.
En otras salas había mangueras, herramientas y objetos relacionados con el salvamento y la extinción de incendios. También vimos cascos de distintas épocas y países.
El museo explica cómo ha cambiado el trabajo de los bomberos y los medios que usan. Para mí, fue interesante comparar un carro antiguo con un vehículo más moderno.
Al final del recorrido, escribí en mi cuaderno tres palabras nuevas. Salí del museo con ganas de conocer mejor el trabajo de los bomberos.
