Las Rutas del Camino
Hay muchas rutas diferentes para llegar a Santiago. La más famosa es el Camino Francés. Empieza en los Pirineos, en la frontera con Francia. Otros caminos son el Camino del Norte, el Camino Primitivo y el Camino Portugués. Todos terminan en la catedral de Santiago.
Los Peregrinos
Los peregrinos caminan durante días o semanas. Llevan una mochila con ropa y comida. Dormimos en albergues especiales llamados albergues. Son lugares económicos para descansar cada noche. Los peregrinos se hacen amigos durante el viaje.
La Compostela
Al final del camino, los peregrinos reciben un documento. Se llama la Compostela. Es una certificación de que completaron el viaje. Para obtenerla, hay que caminar al menos cien kilómetros. Es un recuerdo muy especial.
La Catedral de Santiago
La catedral es un edificio impresionante y antiguo. Tiene una fachada barroca muy decorada. Por dentro es enorme y misteriosa. Los peregrinos abrazan la estatua del apóstol Santiago. Es el momento más emotivo del viaje.
