We sleep at night. Our body needs rest. We close our eyes and sleep. When we wake up, it is morning again. The sun comes up and the day begins.
The day is long in summer. The night is short in summer. In winter, the day is short. The night is long in winter. This changes through the year.
Some people work at night. Doctors and nurses work at night. Police officers work at night. They help people when we sleep.
The moon changes shape. Sometimes it is round. Sometimes it is half. Sometimes it is a small shape. The moon gives soft light at night.
Stars are far away. They look like small points of light. There are many stars in the sky. We can see them on clear nights.
Day and night follow each other. This is the cycle of time. We live our lives through days and nights.
